Dr Helen Woodley was appointed as a paediatric radiologist at Leeds Children’s Hospital, Leeds Teaching Hospital’s Trust (LTHT) in 2000 following radiology training on the Leeds and West Yorkshire radiology scheme and a fellowship in the Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Adelaide.

Since her appointment she has developed a specialist interest in paediatric hepatobiliary and gastrointestinal imaging, leading the imaging service for paediatric hepatobiliary medicine in Leeds Children’s Hospital, one of the 3 paediatric liver transplant centres in the UK. She has lectured widely nationally and internationally in her area of expertise. She is a committee member of the International Childhood Liver Tumour Strategy Group (SIOPEL) and chair of the SIOPEL radiology subcommittee.

Dr Woodley is lead clinician for paediatric radiology in LTHT, previously holding the roles of clinical governance lead for radiology (2012 – 2017) and Radiology Lead Clinician (2016-2019).
